England gamble on Vaughan's fitness for World Cup | Cricket | Guardian Unlimited Sport

"David Graveney, the chairman of selectors, yesterday confirmed England are taking a calculated risk on the fitness of Michael Vaughan by appointing him as captain of the 15-man squad for the World Cup, which begins next month in the Caribbean."

This is a big risk in my opinion. If Vaughan's knee gives up again, certainly ICC cannot allow a replacement since it is a known injury which recurred. Even winning Tri series final against doesn't make Flintoff , a good captain. I would rather like to see Strauss taking over and leading this team again. Last time when he captaind against Pakistan, he was quite brilliant and seems to produce his best when he is the captain.
